| Do I need Office 2010? |
|
|
Have you noticed that Word and Excel documents now contain an “x” at the end of their file name? Instead of document.doc, newer files are indicating document.docx. These files were created in Microsoft Office 2007 or Microsoft Office 2010. If you were like us, you heard Microsoft took away the File/Edit/View/Tools menu in these versions of office, or that it slows down the computer so you avoided the upgrade. We are happy to announce that Microsoft did a fantastic job with their latest version launched in June 2010. The program opens quickly and the toolbars are customizable for an all-around easy product. In addition, they have opened the licensing to two users for $279, compared to only one user. If you are running Office 2000, 2002 or 2003, we recommend this upgrade for you. If you are a home user and do not use Microsoft Outlook, you may upgrade to the 2010 Home / Student version for only $149. This is good for three users. Please call us to learn about specials combining these new software packages with new Dell systems. |
